After the construction of diversion roads at 3 places towards Sindhuli and 13 places towards Kavre in Nepalthok-Dhulikhel section under the BP highway, traffic has been operating without interruption since Saturday. Traffic was resumed from Friday afternoon within five days after the diversion and landslides cut by Roshi's flood were removed.

According to the divisional road office, the traffic operation has been facilitated after the work of pressing and widening the road with rollers throughout the night on Friday. Passenger carriers and private vehicles that left Kathmandu are moving on time as before.

According to Dipendra Karki, an electric vehicle (EV) driver, even though one-way roads are operating in some places, there is no significant difference in time. His experience is that if there are more repairs in Barkhe Khola, Mamti, Pinthali, Narke and Chowki Danda, it will be more comfortable.

'Earlier, Sindhuli-Kathmandu commute used to take 6 hours,' he said, 'Now it takes the same amount of time. Now they are driving through the BP highway.

On October 18 and 19, the flood in Rosikhola washed away 3.5 kilometers (3,500 meters) of the temporary track road at 16 places. Last year, it took about three weeks to open the road after constructing the diversion at a cost of 80 million. According to the divisional road office, the diversion has been opened for around 1 crore now.

The flood that occurred in October last year washed away half of the 22 km road from Nepalthok to Chowkidanda by Rosikhola. The contract has been awarded for the construction divided into three sections.

Dhulikhel, Sindhuli and Bardibas sections of BP highway were already operational. With Nepalthok-Dhulikhel section also operational, there is no obstacle anymore. According to the police, there will be no traffic jams if the traffic is operated in compliance with the traffic rules. The police has advised the drivers not to do so as there have been traffic jams at some places due to the tendency of the motorcycle to go ahead.
