UML Bhaktapur has demanded action against those involved in vandalism and arson during the protest on August 23 and 24.

UML Bhaktapur has submitted a memorandum to the district administration office on Wednesday, demanding that the high-level inquiry commission formed by the government uncover the truth and identify the culprits involved in criminal activities and bring them under the scope of legal action. 

President and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, including UML and other political party leaders and activists, some unruly elements have taken the law into their hands and registered complaints, issued arrest warrants, and prepared to arrest them, with the intention of influencing the investigation commission.

It has also been mentioned in the memorandum that the solution to the problems and challenges that have arisen in the country after the Gen-G movement has been dissolved through the democratic process in accordance with the constitution and the law. It has been warned through the memorandum that the police will be forced to take strong countermeasures if they proceed with any actions such as taking complaints and arrests based on the whims and whims of certain interest groups. 

A team led by UML district president Vachan Deuja reached the district administration office to submit the memorandum.
