Under the BP highway, the track has been opened from Monday on the road washed away by Roshi Khola near Dumja police station in Nepalthok-Dhulikhel section.
Roshi Khola has been diverted to the east and the track has been started. From Nepalthok to Barkhekhola, about 600 meters of Rosikhola has flowed towards Sindhuli.
By taking an excavator from the road division office, Roshi Khola was diverted and the work of temporarily opening the track was started. For the construction of the temporary road, stones, gravel and sand from the river will be used.
According to Parasmani Hamal, Head of Divisional Road Office, Khalte, after the opening of this track, traffic will be operated up to Mamti in Kavre. Three sections of BP highway, Dhulikhel, Sindhuli Bardibas road are in operation. Hamal said that 110 kilometers of roads are operational and 50 kilometers are under reconstruction.
Temporary road construction work has also started from Chowkidanda in Kavre. The floods and landslides on Saturday and Sunday have damaged the BP highway in places. At present, vehicles are moving to Kathmandu via Khurkot-Manthali via Arnico Highway and Sindhuli-Hetaunda as an alternative route.
