Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyan Kumar Mahato informed that the traffic police and other policemen have been deployed on the highway for the convenience of vehicles and passengers after the increase in traffic.
After the BP highway was blocked by floods and landslides, the small and big vehicles left from Solekhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Udaipur, Ramechhap etc. are going to the capital via Pushpalal Marg from Manthali Charikot using Arnico Highway .
Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal and Chief of Police Mahato have gone out to monitor the highway after the complaints of overcharging by public vehicles. He said that action will be taken against the public transport vehicles that used alternative highways during the calamity and charged higher fares.
Due to excessive pressure on the highway, police have been mobilized and help desks have been operated in places. About 400 vehicles used this highway and went to the capital until 10 o'clock on Monday morning, he said.
