Dhading police have arrested three prisoners who escaped from various prisons across the country during the demonstration on August 24 and subsequent incidents.
The government had issued notices to the prisoners who had escaped from various prisons to contact the police, and the police had been mobilized to arrest them.
Keshav Thapa of Dhading Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-7, who escaped from Darchula prison on August 26, was serving his imprisonment in the murder industry. Rajkumar Tamang of Galchi rural municipality-5 of Dhading, who escaped from Bhimfedi prison, and Vishwa Mizar of Dhuniwesi municipality-8, Dhading district, who escaped from Sindhuli prison on August 24, while serving prison terms in the gray heroin case. Based on a special information, Thapa was taken into custody by the police from Salantar Police Station, Tamang from Vaireni Police Station and Mizar from Khanikhola Police Station.
Among those arrested, Mizar, who escaped from Sindhuli jail, has been sent to the central jail in Kathmandu, while the other two have been kept in Dhading jail, said SP Rizal.
