1 thousand 800 vehicles went to Kathmandu on Monday using the alternative Pushpalal route that connects Madhesh and Koshi provinces to the federal capital Kathmandu. People returning to Karmthalo from Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Udaipur, Solukhumbu and other districts on the occasion of Dasain used the Pushpalal route after the BP highway was blocked.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyan Kumar Mahato said that more than 19,000 people returned to Kathmandu after celebrating Dasain from Pushpalal Marg alone on Monday. From Saturday afternoon, instead of the BP highway, vehicles have started using the Pushpalal route to take passengers to Kathmandu. He said that more than 33 thousand passengers traveled through Pushpalal Marg in three days.

'Pushpalal Marg, which has been used as an alternative route, has been used as an alternative,' he said, 'compared to Sunday, the traffic has increased on Monday, we have mobilized the police for the safety of vehicles and passengers, we have operated a help desk in Kirnetar to facilitate the passengers and vehicles coming from the east side of the border and from the Terai.'

He said that the vehicle was put on hold at Kirnetar. He said that the vehicles that are held there will be accommodated in Kirnetar Devitar. He said that the operation of emergency vehicles, including ambulances, was not stopped.   "It was decided to close the highway at night because it was night time, asking people not to travel at risk," he said, "Especially the drivers of the vehicles returning from the capital were tired, so it was held for rest."
