Bhagwan Adhikari, chairman of the village, informed that around 70 families from Bethanchok's Khalanga, Naya Basti Tol, Patne Khola, Gellung, Simadhara, Sayle and Banepalitol have been transferred to the community building.
70 vulnerable families of Bethanchok village in Kavre have been shifted to safer places. So far, around 70 families in Ward No. 2 and 3, Khalanga, Naya Basti Tol, Patne Khola, Gellung, Simadhara, Sayale and Banepali Tol have been moved to safe places, according to Bhagwan Adhikari, Chairman of the Rural Municipality.
According to him, they have been kept in Mukteshwar Community Building. He said that the vulnerable settlements of other wards have also been asked to stay safe.
He informed that the flow of water in the Durlung river, located in Ward No. 3 of the rural municipality, has increased and entered the Khalnga settlement as well. According to him, due to the continuous rains since Saturday, the place was shifted to a safer place last night as the risk was high.
Due to rain, water flow has increased in Patnekhola and Durlung rivers in the municipality. So far, there has been no physical or human damage.
