Due to incessant rains, landslides started on the road leading to Kathmandu and Pokhara, it has been decided to give a 75% discount to the travelers staying in Chitwan and put them in hotels.

This decision was taken by the meeting of the security agencies and the association of hoteliers and other stakeholders held at the Chitwan district administration office on Saturday evening.

The chief district officer Ganesh Aryal said that arrangements have been made to keep the passengers stopped in Chitwan in various hotels across the district including Narayangadh, Bharatpur and Sauraha. In this way, the administration has also warned not to treat passengers staying on concessions differently. About this  It is also said that the police and representatives of hoteliers association will monitor. The administration said that those who charge more or do otherwise will be punished . 

Chitwan district administration has decided to completely close the road leading to other districts through Chitwan from 6 pm on Saturday until further notice. The vehicles of the essential services can arrive in coordination with the administration after looking at the condition of the landslide and the road.

Landslides have occurred repeatedly in Tuinkhola on Narayangadh-Muglin road. Similarly, near Kurintar of Prithvi Highway and Dhading Jawang River, the road was blocked by landslides. The Chitwan police have safely kept the vehicles that have problems moving forward in 14 different places of Chitwan.
