The Hrium pipe of Thangsibesi, which is located on the border of Ward No. 6 of Namobuddha Municipality and Ward No. 7 of Roshi Rural Municipality, under the road connecting Mahabharat Rural Municipality, was washed away by last night's rain.
The flood that occurred in the second week of October last year swept away the concrete bridge at that location. After the concrete bridge was washed away, Hrium pipe was temporarily placed in Thangsibesi for traffic operation. Dinesh Lama, Chairman of Roshi Rural Municipality, informed that after the Hryum pipe was washed away by this year's flood, the Hryum pipe, which was placed only two years ago, was again washed away by Roshi Khola.
According to him, the Hrium pipe was installed only two days ago for the convenience of passengers targeting the festival. He said that yesterday's water flooded the Hirum pipe again at around 12 o'clock last night. "It is festival time, the number of passengers traveling through that stretch of road increases," he said. The work is being done to lay the Hryum pipe, that road section will be operational in some time.
District Traffic Police Office Kavre has requested to use an alternative road as the road is blocked because the Roshi river has washed away the Hryum pipe of that road section.
