Government Spokesperson Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Prabhat Tamang informed that the government has decided to give 85 motorcycles worth around 3 crore rupees.
He said that he decided to provide motorcycles keeping in mind the sensitivity of security challenges during the festival. According to him, it was decided to provide 85 2-wheeled vehicles, 30 for the area police offices of Bagmati province, 30 for the valley police and 25 for the valley traffic police.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs has given consent for the purchase of motorcycles on Friday. Minister Tamang said that they are going to provide motorcycles within the province's vehicle procurement standards. After the police organization came under the federal government, the Bagmati provincial government has been providing vehicles and building physical infrastructure to strengthen the police organization.
