Two Australian citizen couples were injured in a motorcycle accident in the Charkilo area under the Kodari highway (26 km) connecting China.

According to District Traffic Police Sindhupalchok, 71-year-old Australian citizen Peter and his wife Janet Jackson were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on their way from Kathmandu to Tatopani. 'The condition of both is serious, they are unable to speak,' said Inspector Sumesh Pandey of Ila Police Station.

A motorcycle was destroyed when it fell down about 10 meters from the section of Char Kilo located in Bhotekosi Village Palik-4. According to the police, the motorcycle numbered Ba 89 P 9735 went out of control and fell off the road. Locals and security personnel of police station Phulpingkatti were deployed to rescue the injured.  He said that

was immediately rescued and taken to the local Hindi Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment. After the referral of the injured, he was rescued by helicopter and taken to Narvik Hospital in Kathmandu for treatment. "He is being treated now, the health workers have informed that the situation is critical," he said.
