The driver has gone missing after a van fell into the Bhotekoshi river from the Araniko highway in Balefi Rural Municipality-5, Balefi, Sindhupalchok.
According to District Police Sindhupalchok on Friday morning A Maruti mini delivery van number Ba 12 Ch 6594 collecting milk of Sindhu Dairy Dairy located in Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality-10, Sukute fell off the road while going to Khadichour from Sukute. Police said the van fell about 50 meters down into the river.
The van was being driven by Navraj Khulal, 22/23 years old, of Panauti Municipality-10, Pastli, Kavrepalanchok. It is understood that only the driver was in the vehicle at the time of the accident. "The driver is missing, the search for him is on," said District Police Deputy Superintendent Madhavraj Kharel.
After the incident, a team of four people under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Suresh Prasad Gupta has been deployed from Police Station Balefi and the search for the missing persons is underway, according to the District Police Office.
