Two people have gone missing after a landslide hit the Balefi-Dhade inner road section in Jalbire, Balefi rural municipality-1 of the district.
According to District Police Sindhupalchok, 17-year-old Phoolmaya Lama and 5-year-old Manmaya Lama of Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality-2, Bhotefulping, who were walking home on Wednesday afternoon, went missing after falling into a landslide. 'They were walking towards Golche Mamaghar, Jugal Rural Municipality-2, it has been revealed that Jangzheng is Lama's daughter,' said District Police Deputy Superintendent Madhavraj Kharel.
Both of them were swept away by a landslide that came from above the road. It is suspected that they fell because Brahmayani river is flowing under the said road section.
After the incident, a police team of 10 people was mobilized under the command of Police Inspector Gajendra Rawat of the area police office, Jalbire, and the search was continued.
