In the beginning, stones were continuously falling from about 70 meters above and on Saturday morning at 8:30 p.m., another big landslide caused the problem, according to the road department.
The landslide that fell near the Tuinkhola bridge on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section has been cleared. Since 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening, there has been a problem in moving due to continuous landslides.
In the beginning, stones were continuously falling from about 70 meters above, and the problem was caused by a large landslide again on Saturday morning at 8:30 am, according to the road department. Prabhat Kumar Jha, spokesperson of the road department, said that the landslide was about 160 meters long, 10 meters wide and 16 meters high. According to him, despite efforts to open the road all day on Saturday, due to the risk of large rocks and landslides falling on the excavator from both sides, the opening of the road has been postponed until 3 o'clock on Sunday morning in consideration of the request of the District Administration Office Chitwan.
The team of the Bharatpur road division is at the place where the landslide occurred and the work to open the road will be started immediately as soon as the situation returns to normal, he said. The area police office Muglin has asked the vehicles and passengers going west from Kathmandu to pass through Pokhara as there is a risk of landslides in Tuinkhola.
