Chief District Officer distributing lunch to travelers stranded on the road
It will take more time to remove the landslide that fell in Tuinkhola under the Narayangadh-Muglin road. The road was blocked in Tuinkhola since Friday evening due to a landslide.
The road is blocked after an even bigger landslide on Saturday morning. Passengers are stranded on the road for almost 24 hours. A team consisting of Chief District Officer of Chitwan Ganesh Aryal along with District Heads of Nepal Police, Army, Armed Police and National Investigation Department distributed lunch to the travelers stranded on the road. Chandan Agarwal, a businessman from Narayangadh, has helped with the lunch.
Chief District Officer Aryal said that lunch was distributed to about two thousand passengers. Vehicles are stopped on the road from Tuinkhola to Lothar. About 11,500 vehicles were stopped on the road, District Traffic Police Chief Inspector Gayatri Raj Sharma said. According to him, the landslide will be cleared only by seven o'clock today and the rest of the work will start tomorrow morning.
