A young man who went missing after being swept away by the Bagmati River while fishing was found dead four days later.
The body of 18-year-old Monday Ghalan of Bagmati Rural Municipality-1 Majhgaon, who went fishing in Bagmati river on Wednesday, was found on Saturday.
His body was found on the bank of Bagmati River in Rautahat, the police said. Locals, relatives and the police were searching for him and the body was found on the bank of Gadaiyaghat in Rautahat Rajdevi Municipality-4 Bagmati, according to District Police Office Makwanpur.
Ghalan's relative Raj Ghalan informed that his body is now kept at the provincial hospital in Rautahat. 48-year-old father Gunjman Ghalan and son Som Bahadur went fishing in the Bagmati River on Wednesday afternoon.
While fishing, Som Bahadur went missing in the river. He was swept away when there was a sudden flood in the river.
