A lamp was lit in Narayangadh on Wednesday evening to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the movement led by Zen-G.

To pay homage to those who lost their lives in the Gen-G movement, various organizations lit lamps in Narayangadh on Wednesday evening.
Various Lions and Leo Clubs of Chitwan jointly lit the lamp at Lions Chowk. Near the
, the Himalayan Riders also paid tribute to the martyrs by lighting a lamp at the same time.
During the Gen-G demonstration, a demonstration was also held in Lionschowk, Sahidchowk and Pulchowk areas of Narayangadh on the first day of August 23rd. Protesters burnt tires in those areas. On August 24, protesters set fire to government offices, police units, party offices, and municipal and ward offices in Bharatpur area.
According to Chief District Officer of Chitwan Ganesh Aryal, 14 protesters and 12 security personnel were injured during the two-day demonstration. 200 rounds of rubber bullets and aerial fire and 350 cells of tear gas were fired.
On August 24th, a local youth, Saroj Gurung, 19 years old, who was injured by a piece of gas cylinder in the house of Bharatpur-21 Parvatipur, Bharatpur-21 Parvatipur, was set on fire by protesters, died on August 27th during treatment. Although a dead body of a man was found inside the office building of Ratnagar municipality where the fire took place, the administration has not made an official comment about it.
