Makwanpur police have arrested the driver with ganja from the buffalo under Tribhuvan Rajpath.

Coming from Palung towards Hetaunda through Tribhuvan Rajpath, Ba 2 B 3219 no. 157 kg 120 grams of ganja was seized from the container when the police of Bhimfedi rural municipality-2 Bhainse check post stopped and checked the container.

A joint police team deployed from Bhimfedi police station and Bhainse police station in Ela on Tuesday morning stopped the container and seized marijuana packed in 12 plastic bags. Spokesperson Shyamu Aryal said.

The container was brought with marijuana hidden in the back compartment of the vehicle. The police have arrested 41-year-old Veer Bahadur Tamang of Sindhupalchok Bahrbisheh Municipality-8, a container driver with marijuana.

Tamang, who was taken into custody, is being further investigated by the Makwanpur District Court, Hetaunda, after receiving a time-limit permit in the drug crime case.
