With the implementation of the President's Women Upliftment Program in Khanikhola Rural Municipality of Kavre, pregnant women have been rescued by helicopter.

Village Chairman Indra Bahadur Thing informed that 19-year-old Ayushma Blon of Khanikhola Rural Municipality-4 could not give birth at the local Taldhunga health post and was rescued by a helicopter under the President's Women Upliftment Program on Sunday. Ayushma reached the Taldhunga health post at 10 am on Saturday for delivery. She was admitted to the health center on Saturday itself. However, she was rescued by helicopter on Sunday after she failed to give birth there. 

'We were trying to give birth here,' said Anami Lalita Paudel of Taldhunga health post, 'From 1 o'clock in the morning, problems started to appear in her health condition, her health condition became complicated, despite all our efforts, we informed the municipality that she could not deliver successfully here.

According to him, Ayushma was sent to Thapathali Charity Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Kathmandu through a helicopter that arrived at 10 am. She said that after she was taken to the hospital, she was informed that she had given birth successfully. But the family members have informed that the health condition of the baby is not good, so he is being treated in the ICU and the condition of the mother is normal. 

After the implementation of the Presidential Women's Upliftment Program in Khanikhola, this rescue was done by helicopter for the first time, said Village Chairman Thing. After the implementation of this program, it is believed that the life of the mother and child will be safe as the women here will be rescued by helicopter and will be treated quickly.
