After receiving information from the local residents that the police were bringing ganja through that road, the police from Basamadi Lewat stayed in the forest at Chandanda. As soon as those who came with ganja saw the police, they left the ganja pods in the forest and ran away.
14 bags of marijuana packed in plastic were brought by 7-8 people, they fled as soon as they saw the police, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of District Police Office Makwanpur Shyamu Aryal said.
The police said that they are looking for those who escaped after leaving behind marijuana pods.
