A 36-year-old woman of Bardghat municipality-13 died of scrub typhus.
He died during treatment at Bharatpur Hospital. Dr. Ramprasad Sapkota, spokesperson of the hospital, said. She was admitted to the hospital on August 4. She was also suffering from leprosy.
According to Dinesh Rupakheti, head of the public health office here, scrub typhus has been found in 73 of the patients who came for treatment at various hospitals in the district. 58 people from Chitwan are suffering from this disease. Of the 1,530 people tested, 73 people have been confirmed infected.
