Makwanpur branch of Nepal Journalist Federation has established women journalist reproductive health and safe delivery promotion fund on the occasion of Teej.

At the launch event of Women Journalist Reproductive Health and Safe Childbirth Promotion Fund held by Journalist Federation Makwanpur Branch on Thursday, Mayor Meenakumari Lama and Deputy Mayor Rajesh Baniyan of Hetouda Sub-Metropolitan Municipality expressed their commitment to provide 5 lakh rupees to the fund.

Mayor Lama said that this fund will play an important role in sustaining women journalists in journalism. . Deputy Mayor Baniyan informed that the Deputy Metropolitan Municipality is supporting women journalists to be skilled and competent.

Journalist Federation branch president Balkrishna Adhikari said that the fund is expected to be beneficial for the facilities of women journalists. There are 35 women journalists in Makwanpur.
