Araniko highway has been blocked due to rock fall along with dry landslide. District Traffic Police Office Chief Police Inspector Sunil Dhanju informed that at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday morning, the Araniko highway was blocked due to a dry landslide along with a stone falling in the Tirtire Stream located under Dhulikhel Municipality-8.
According to him, the stone is falling from above. The highway is blocked due to falling rocks.
"Initially, two-way highway was blocked," he said, "For now, one-way traffic has been resumed." The traffic police has requested to take an alternative trip after understanding the road conditions.
