In the financial year 2081/082, 28 girls under the age of 16 were raped in Hetaunda. Out of a total of 41 people who were raped, 28 of them were girls under the age of 16, according to the District Police Office, Hetaunda.
According to the police, 9 of them are under 10 years of age, while 19 of them have been working for 10 to 16 years. 13 people above the age of 16 have been raped.

According to paragraph 18 of the Civil Criminal Offenses (Code) Act, 2074, if the crime of rape is proven, there is a legal provision that imprisonment for 7 years to 10 years can be imposed for rape-related crimes, and an additional 5 years imprisonment in case of a disabled person.
