MBBS studies will be held in Hetauda, the capital of Bagmati province. The Medical Education Commission has approved 50 seats for teaching MBBS from this academic session to Madan Bhandari Institute of Health Sciences.

With this approval, the way for the institution to teach MBBS is open. Graduate level programs are already running in the institute.

The BSc Nursing program has been increased from 20 seats to 30 seats this year to make it more effective. Medical Lab Technology and Public Health (BPH) programs have retained 20/20 seats. Similarly, Bachelor of Pharmacy program is being taught in 30 seats.

Along with these programs at the undergraduate level, the institution has also achieved new achievements at the postgraduate level. From this academic year, the study of MD will be started in seven subjects. In which a total of 8 seats have been sanctioned. There are 2 seats in Gynecology and Obstetrics Department, one seat each in Physician, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopedics and Narcotics, Family Physician and Anesthesiology. It will not take much time to provide health services with the manpower produced by the

foundation. Pradip Gyawali said. Bagmati Province Health Minister Kiran Thapa claimed that the increase in the number of approved seats and the addition of new programs will establish the institute as a place of health education and research in the province.

Foundation is promoting the production of expert doctors, quality treatment services and modern research along with the expansion of health education.

Now more than 1,500 people are taking services for treatment. The Madan Bhandari Institute of Health Sciences Act was issued by the State Assembly in 2076. After 1 year of establishment, the work of the institute was started by appointing the vice chancellor of the institute on 15 July 2077 and other officers on 15 August.
