On Tuesday, Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality Mayor Krishna Prasad Sapkota handed over certificates of appreciation to the representatives of the helping hands and honored them with food garlands. Helping Hand, which established a free clothing bank in Baharbise, Baharbise city for the underprivileged, had previously provided clothes and stationery to children who were facing financial shortages in eight schools across the district. Since four years ago, the helping hand has been providing various assistance to the families of the victims who are suffering from disasters and fires in various villages.
Accepting the award, Vikesh Lama, Lakshmi Paudyal, representative of 'Sahayogi Hatharu', said that this award has inspired them to work more actively for the community. 28 young people and businessmen from Bahrbise Municipality, Balefi and Tripurasundari Rural Municipality of the district, including banks, financial institutions, insurance, cooperatives, medical and students are involved in the cooperative hands.
Blood donation program was attended by 66 people, 9 inmates of Chautara prison also donated blood. Along with donating blood to the participants, blood group testing was also scheduled. The blood donation program was organized by Blood Donors Association Nepal (BLODAN) District Branch, Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality and Public Health Office Sindhupalchok.
