According to the District Traffic Police Office, 182 people died in road accidents in Kavrepalanchok during five years.

In the financial year 2077/78 to 081/82, 182 people lost their lives in 807 traffic accidents.  According to the data obtained by

, 50 people died in 156 vehicle accidents in the year 079/80 and 43 people died in 149 vehicle accidents in 078/79. Similarly, 33 people died in 181 vehicle accidents in 080/81, 31 people died in 178 vehicle accidents in 077/78 and 25 people died in 143 vehicle accidents in 081/82. 

According to Chief Police Inspector Sunil Dhanju of Kavre District Traffic Police Office, human, mechanical  There are 3 major environmental reasons for vehicle accidents. "Human error is the main cause of traffic accidents," he said, "accidents also occur due to mechanical errors, in addition to this, accidents occur due to the condition of the road under the environmental aspect." 

Police inspector Dhanju informed that the number of vehicle accidents in Kavre has decreased due to the fact that the passengers and drivers are aware of the traffic rules and the vehicle owners and drivers are also aware of the regular maintenance and maintenance of mechanical equipment. According to him, under the environmental aspect, the traffic pressure has been comparatively reduced due to the construction of Arani highway in the district.
