Makwanpur police have arrested 4 people with drugs from Hetaunda. 2 people were arrested with tramadol from Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-2 and 2 people were arrested with brown heroin from Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-5.
On the basis of special information, the police team deployed from the Ward Police Office seized 157 capsules of tramadol from 20-year-old Suresh Thing and 19-year-old Sujat Thing, who are currently camping near Hetaunda-2, Ganesh Mandir, from Manhari Rural Municipality-1, in front of Ganesh Mandir at Hetaunda-2, Municipal Road.
Similarly, on Saturday evening, the police team deployed from the Ward Police Office stopped vehicles at Hetaunda-5, Piplechowk while conducting a security check, and the police seized 520 milligrams of brown heroin from the scooter driver Na 35 P 6712 No. Shyamu Aryal, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of Makwanpur said.
All the four people who were arrested with drugs have been prosecuted. According to District Police Office Makwanpur, last year, 289 people including 17 women were arrested for drug trafficking and dealing in Makwanpur. Thirteen foreign nationals are also among those arrested.
