People's representatives, police, health workers, toll reform committee officials, mothers' groups, women's health volunteers, school teachers and local residents participated enthusiastically in this campaign, which was started with the slogan 'One day a week, one hour - no trouble, mosquito larvae destroyed'.
According to Yuvraj Sapkota, head of Saghutar health post, as part of the campaign, items such as frozen pots, bottles, tires, plastic waste and other items have been removed from the places where water is likely to freeze. Sapkota said that this campaign will now be conducted regularly every week.
A campaign has been started to identify and destroy places where mosquitoes breed or produce larvae, such as water containers for pets, stents for toilet brushes, vessels used for worship purposes and leaking or broken pipes inside the house.
Saghutar Health Chowki has requested to pay attention to the larva destruction campaign in all such places as mosquitoes are produced on the roof of the house or in other deep places where sky water accumulates.
