Chitwan police have seized 671 kilos of 600 grams of ganja from the Indian truck.

The Chitwan District Police Office held a press conference on Saturday and informed that the cannabis was seized from an Indian truck numbered UP 82 T 3921 near Rapti Municipality-1 Leather Bridge.

Chitwan District Police Office Superintendent of Police (SP) Gavind Puri said that marijuana was found in a truck that was returning to Birganj after delivering goods to Kathmandu. On the upper part of the driver's cabin, false buttons were made and 43 bags were made and marijuana was kept.

The police took control of the truck around 4 o'clock in the morning on Saturday. The police has started an investigation after taking the truck driver Sheikh Savil Akhtar, 37 years old, from Champaran Turkalia, India into custody.
