District Police Office Makwanpur has arrested 183 fugitive accused in the financial year 2081/082.

99 years 11 months 23  District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson Shyamu Aryal informed that if the day imprisonment will be paid, a fine of 1 crore 21 lakh 73 thousand 805 rupees will be collected. There are 160 men and 23 women among the arrested accused. According to the data of the district police, among those arrested, the most number of absconding drug suspects and dishonored checks are among those arrested. There are 4,872 natives and foreigners who have been found guilty in various cases by the Makwanpur District Court but are absconding. According to the district court, 97 of them are foreign nationals and 4,779 are Nepalis.

Makwanpur District Court has records since 1983 and the arrears are also from the same period. Due to non-collection of penalties as per the order of the District Court, the outstanding amount of Makwanpur District Court has reached 4.81 billion 43 lakh rupees. In the same way, because the criminals who should be imprisoned by the court do not remain in prison, the cost of imprisonment of the court is increasing year by year and currently it has reached 3 thousand 911 years, 1 month and 21 days. Arrears have also increased by 250 years compared to last year.
