Victim savers of Sahara Chitwan Multi-Purpose Urban Organization have met with Nepali Congress General Minister and Member of Parliament Gagan Thapa.
Sahara savers met leader Thapa, who came to Chitwan to celebrate BP Memorial Day, on Tuesday evening at Narayangadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and requested him to prepare an environment for refund.
They have also demanded immediate arrest of the absconding defendants along with the founder Jitendrababu (GB) Rai . Sahara Chitwan Multi-Purpose Cooperative Savings on behalf of the victims' families, Shalikram Duwadi and others met with the General Minister and MP Thapa and told about the problem.
They said that even though the borrowers who took loans from the cooperative were ready to return the money, there was confusion about where to pay and to whom, the loan could not be recovered. Duwadi said that there is about five crore rupees in the local market alone.
``Five crores worth of loans in the local market can be raised if the government creates a law . Similarly, some of the defendants who have reached the court have said that they will pay the amount they took from GB . If there is an environment where the amount will be returned, the savers can also be given back,' said Duwadi in a conversation with leader Thapa. Similarly, he also said that the fixed assets and accounts of many companies including GB Rai have been frozen.
'It will be a big relief if the case is resolved through fast track . If they put in a little effort, it seems that the savers of Sahara Cooperative will get their money back," Duwadi said. He complained that the debtors and the defendants who claim to pay the amount are reluctant to make a method and place to pay the amount. Duwadi said that the Ministry of Cooperatives of Bagmati Province has refused to declare the cooperatives in crisis.
Similarly, he said that when he went to submit documents and applications to the cooperative authority, he refused to take them. When asked why it is not registered, they say that since GB, Ravi and Image are connected, we should also ask above. What is this topic? Why not declared a crisis? Why is our application not granted? Duwadi requested that you take the necessary initiative in this matter and facilitate the solution of the problem of the cooperative victims.
As the money is staying in cooperatives and it is becoming difficult for the victims to get medical treatment, he said that only if this matter is resolved soon, justice will be done to the victims. "I will talk to the officials of the authority on this matter." I am going to take the initiative to find relief for those who have become victims of not getting their savings back,' said leader Thapa after hearing the complaints of the victim savers.
