District Court Makwanpur has ordered to remand an employee of Bagmati rural municipality-9 Betini health post accused of murder.
District Judge Avni Mainali Bhattarai's bench on Monday ordered 35-year-old Kumar Thapa, an office assistant working at Betini Health Chowki, Bara Nijgarh Municipality-3, Bara Nijgarh Municipality-3, Singol Ghar, to be remanded in custody for the murder of 57-year-old Ram Bahadur Waiba. According to the order of the court, the police have sent Thapa to Bhimphedi jail. The police arrested Thapa on the charge of killing his wife by hitting a khurpa on 14 June last.
The police say that Thapa killed Waiba by hitting him with a khurpa from behind while passing by the building of the old health post to feed the cattle to the nearby barn.
