Makwanpur district court dismissed 70 percent of cases

District Court Makwanpur has dismissed about 70 percent of cases in the year 081/082.

The number of cases is about 11 percent more than the previous year . In the year 081/082, 4 thousand 150 cases were pending in the district court, including 1 thousand 597 cases and 2 thousand 553 newly registered cases. Out of them, 2 thousand 868 i.e. 69.11 percent of the cases were dismissed, according to Roshi Bhandari, the head of the court.

 

In a program organized with the purpose of informing about the progress of the court, Sestedar Bhandari had dismissed 2,274 cases out of 3,871 cases in the year 080/081, i.e. 58.74 percent.

District Court Makwanpur only 2 cases exceeding 2 years are yet to be disposed of . In the year 080/081 there were 22 cases exceeding 2 years . In Makwanpur, there are many cases of drugs, divorce, banking offenses and extortion in the district. Keshavraj Kaushik, the information officer of the court, said that the number of cases being registered in the court is increasing year by year.

 

The program organized by the district court on Tuesday afternoon was attended by all four judges.

 

District Court Makwanpur, along with Srestedar, all four judges are women.  There are 60 employees in the district court. 26 of them are women .
