It has been announced that Panauti Municipality of the district has implemented compulsory free education. On the occasion of a program organized by Panauti municipality on Wednesday, it was announced that the municipality has implemented compulsory free education.

District Coordination Committee chief Deepak Kumar Gautam signed a five-point commitment letter and declared the municipality to ensure free and compulsory basic education. Also, the coordination chief Gautam handed over the certificate declaring the city where compulsory free education has been implemented to city chief Ram Sharan Bhandari and deputy chief Geeta Banjara. Addressing the

program, Coordination Chief Gautam said that under the fundamental rights of the Constitution of Nepal 2072, education, health and employment are ensured and there is a program to implement what is mentioned in the constitution. 

According to him, this program is also very important to ensure everyone's access to education. He said that this program is an important basis for achieving the goal of sustainable development.

Likewise, Rim Bahadur Tamang, the deputy head of the coordination committee, said that education should be given first priority because all-round development is possible through education. In the program, Ramsharan Bhandari, the head of Panauti Municipality, said that according to the provisions of the Constitution of Nepal 2072 and the Act on Compulsory and Free Education 2075, children of the school age group from 4 years to 13 years have been admitted to schools and the municipality has been declared a city where compulsory free education has been implemented. 

According to him, the municipality is working with education as the first priority, and the improvement of the education sector of the city has been seen. As a result of which, he said, there has been comparative progress in the SEE examination. 

Gita Banjara, deputy head of Panauti Municipality, said that it was possible to declare the municipality as a city where compulsory free education has been implemented due to the cooperation and cooperation of everyone in order to enroll the children in schools and make them accessible to education. 

She informed that the municipality is working with the first priority to provide quality education with access to education for all.
