According to District Traffic Police Office Kavre, landslides have occurred at various places on the VP Highway in the district and the work of removing the landslide is now underway.
According to the office, landslides occurred in Pingthali, Charsayweshi and Mangaltar on the Bhakunde-Nepalthok road section under the highway due to last night's rain.
Chief Police Inspector of District Traffic Police Office Kavre, Sunil Kumar Dhanju informed that the work of removing the landslide is currently underway at that place.
According to him, the vehicles going from Kathmandu to Sindhuli have been held at Kavrevanjyang and the vehicles coming from Sindhuli to Kathmandu have been held at Mangaltar so that there is no problem for vehicles and passengers on the highway due to landslides.
He said that the vehicles were kept at two places from 1 o'clock in the night. He informed that due to the condition of the road, the vehicles were passed gradually. According to him, the highway will be fully vehicular only after the removal of landslides is completed.
