The landslide has damaged the power plant of Jhakre Khola hydroelectric power plant operated by Khimti Rural Electricity Cooperative located in Jiri Municipality-9 of Dolakha.
Kumar Phuyal, the general manager of the center said that out of the 2 power plants of the 1.35 MW power plant, the 635 KV power plant was damaged by a landslide on Sunday afternoon.
After the landslide, the employees ran away and reached a safe place . Efforts are being made to extract the materials from the plant due to continuous landslides. He said that the landslide damaged the building of the plant. The Police Inspector of the District Police Office Sriram Timalsina said that the police have been mobilized for the rescue.
He said that the details of the damage could not be given because it would take time to reach the police.
