A suspension bridge has been constructed in the river of the remote settlement of Bakaiya Rural Municipality of Makwanpur.

Residents of Bakaiya rural municipality-7, who have been taking risks during the rainy season due to the lack of bridges, are happy after the construction of a suspension bridge on Harda river. A 108-meter long suspension bridge has been built in the Harda River located in Bakaiya Rural Municipality-7. The Matokori-Chundhunga bridge has been built with the investment of the Federal Government and Bakia Rural Municipality.

The federal government donated 500,000 rupees, Bakia Rural Municipality 782,000 rupees and local residents donated 120,000 rupees for the bridge.

Rural Awakening and Development Organization Nepal (RADO) technical support, 1,405 people from 235 households will benefit from the suspended bridge, Man Bahadur Syangtan said.
