13 different types of vaccines should be administered from birth to 15 months. Which protects them from epidemics of various deadly diseases like measles, rubella. But it has been found that even though the vaccination campaign is going on in full swing, not everyone is taking it.

Chitwan was declared a fully vaccinated district on June 32, 2075. But there are still children who are not vaccinated.

There are also hundreds of such children who have started vaccination but have not received the full amount. Though the district was declared fully vaccinated seven years ago, Chitwan received the certificate of 'Sustainability of Full Vaccination' on Saturday.

Even after the announcement of full vaccination, to ensure the sustainability of the announcement, certificates are given only after determining whether children are deprived of vaccination facilities every year.

Dinesh Rupakheti, head of the public health office in Bharatpur, said that if everyone under the age of five was deprived of the vaccine, it should be announced every year that 'full vaccine sustainability' should be given. Rupakheti said that due to the arrival of Covid-19 after the declaration of full vaccination district, the announcement program of 'Full Vaccination Assurance Sustainability' was possible only last year and this year. Missing children were found last year too .

"This year, when we conducted a household survey in seven municipalities of the district, we found that 9,232 people within 15 months of birth and 16 out of 25,452 people between 16 months and 5 years had not received any amount of vaccination," said Rupakheti, head of the public health office. Similarly, he informed that 432 people have not taken the full amount of vaccine. The highest number of unvaccinated nine people were found in Bharatpur metropolis.

Similarly, Rupakhoti said that the maximum number of 325 people who do not take regular vaccinations are from Bharatpur metropolitan area. Even after completing the amount of vaccination for all those found in the survey, the campaign to find children was conducted again in Baisakh. In the month of Baisakh, one person each was found in Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality and Rapti Municipality, and 54 and 56 people were found in seven municipalities that were not fully vaccinated.

Chitwan has been declared a 'full vaccine sustainability' district today after giving the full amount of vaccination to all these children. According to Rupakheti, children up to the age of five have been included in the search campaign because there is a rule that all doses of vaccination should be completed within 15 months. Director of Bagmati Province Health Directorate Narendra Kumar Jha said that the practice of not completing the vaccination should be removed.

Jha said that there are four percent of children who do not receive vaccinations in the whole country and it is seen that there are around 10 percent of children who do not receive vaccines in Bagmati Province. He suggested that the target should be determined keeping in mind the state of vaccination while the local level is making micro-planning and should be implemented successfully. So far, the vaccine has been available through various grants, said Jha, and now the government will invest in it.

Special caution has to be taken not to waste the amount of vaccine . Because the situation of wasting quantity is also in the past . The local level also needs to pay equal attention to ensure that children are not left behind," said Director Jha. Narayan Prasad Adhikari, Chief of Chitwan District Coordination Committee and Chairman of District Vaccination Coordination, said that since vaccination is a natural right of children, he is committed to fulfill it.
