Makwanpur District Court has sentenced a man to 45 years imprisonment for raping his daughter. The court also imposed a fine of 7 lakh rupees on the accused.
The bench of District Court Makwanpur Judge Gita Shrestha on Wednesday ruled that 34-year-old Wavu of Thaha Municipality-1 had raped her 13-year-old daughter. District Court Makwanpur District Court Makwanpur Information Officer Keshavraj Kaushik said that the accused was sentenced to 25 years in prison for raping Hadanata Parne and 20 years in prison for forcing the girl. The raped girl is the daughter of the elder wife.
On August 28, 2081, the girl was raped by her father at home. After the girl informed her relatives that she was raped by her father, they filed a complaint in Palung, IPR. On the basis of the complaint, the father was arrested and the court sent him to Bhimphedi jail for preliminary investigation.
