82-year-old Jeetram Mahato of Baghoda says that there has been a big change in the farming system before and now. Earlier, there was a large farm of one person . "Earlier, farming was done with dung manure only. 40 muri grew in a bigha . Now there is fertilizer and seeds, 60 muri grows in a bigha . Production increased . "Gangta Gadyula is lost," Jeetram said.

Andi's situation is also the same 

Kiran Poudel, Head of Agriculture Branch of Madi Municipality, says that rice is the main food crop in Madi. Rice is cultivated in 90 percent of the arable land. Barkhe paddy is cultivated on 8,200 hectares in Madi. Similarly, Paudel said that chaite rice will be planted in 2,500 hectares. He said that the soil of Madi is slowly deteriorating due to various reasons. 

'But Madi paddy, especially the Anadi paddy produced here, is selling well. The tradition of wearing anadi in Madi has survived. The area to be cultivated is not certain . But the tribal Tharu community usually wears it, at least in two or four katthas," said Paudel, the head of the agriculture branch. But he said that the commercialization of the Anadi worn by the Tharu community has not been done.

The hill community of Andi, which has some coarse grains, becomes leathery when cooked and has a burning sensation, cooks them with ghee on special festivals including Teej and eats latte, charme . The Tharu community cooks anadi by steaming water. Which is called Chichar . Those who are hard at work eat Chichar . Even on festivals like Maghi, chickpeas are cooked in Tharu's kitchen. "Currently, work is going on to plant the red anadi that comes in the summer," says Omprakash Mahato, president of the Maheshwari Farmers Group.

Matho said that due to the growing practice of planting other crops and vegetables after harvesting rice, farmers are attracted to fast-ripening rice. "Red river ripens late". So wear less. Uddhav Adhikari, the coordinator of the Agricultural Campaign for Food, says that the indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers is destroying the soil's fertility. He said that if the soil deteriorates, not only the crops will not grow, but also the organisms like beetles, beetles, frogs, insects, grasshoppers and the microscopic elements of the soil will be destroyed. Therefore, he says that the government has not paid much attention to promoting organic agriculture.
