In a remote village of Makwanpur, a girl was killed and 4 people were injured due to the lightning that accompanied the storm.
A 6-year-old girl Anika Chepang died after being struck by lightning on Friday evening in Raksirang rural municipality-8 Maisirang. His mother, 25-year-old Ravina Chepang, was injured.
Ravina is being treated at Hetaunda Hospital. Anika and Raveena were injured by lightning while they were sitting at home. Both of them were brought to the hospital in Manhari in the night for treatment. Anika died during treatment.
Raveena was sent to Hetaunda Hospital for further treatment. Police Inspector Vishal Sapakota said. Similarly, three people were injured due to lightning in Chorang of Raksirang Rural Municipality.
Local Hari Chepang said that their condition is normal. In Makwanpur, 5 people died due to lightning in the 11th month of the current year, while 22 people were injured during the same period.
