Hospital has started 'Acute Oncology Service' to make the emergency treatment of cancer systematic and effective. For this, the service has been started by training 39 people including doctors and nurses. 'Complications occur in patients during cancer disease and treatment . In such cases, the cancer hospital has an emergency room. They come to the hospital for treatment. But cancer patients have not been treated in general hospitals other than cancer," said Dr. Shah. Through this service, the cancer hospital is trying to coordinate with the patient and his nearest hospital.
In some cases, even taking a small amount of medicine will solve the problem, he says. "Normal problems can be monitored at home, but if the problem starts to worsen, you should come to the hospital immediately," said Dr. Sah says, 'Well, even if you stay at home, why should you keep running unnecessarily?' He suggested that you should come to the hospital if the complications persist.
'Suppose a cancer patient in Dadeldhura is vomiting . From there, the patient cannot come here vomiting. If the patient reaches the nearest hospital and the doctor there contacts/coordinates with us, it will be very convenient for the patient who comes here after taking anti-vomiting medicine from there," said Dr.Sah . He said that emergency treatment of cancer should be started in at least seven provincial level hospitals. He appealed not to contact the public phone number for emergency services.
After 25 years of establishment, BP Koirla Memorial Cancer Hospital receives patients from all over the country and even from the border areas of India for treatment.
