Hetaunda will create a fund to encourage the birth of a third child

Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city has adopted third child birth as an incentive policy.

Until a few years ago, the only sub-metropolitan city of Bagmati province, which adopted the slogan of 'two children is God's gift', has adopted a policy to encourage the birth of a third child from the next fiscal year 2082/083.

In the 93rd point of the policy and program submitted by Deputy Metropolitan Chief Meenakumari Lama in the 17th Municipal Assembly on Tuesday, it is mentioned that a fund will be raised to encourage the birth of a third child and necessary programs will be conducted.

The sub-metropolitan has said that NICU and PICU services will be started after completing the incomplete construction work of the 100-bed pediatric and maternity ward, which has been started in Hetaunda Hospital. Due to the lack of NICU services, it is believed that the forced condition of needing to seek treatment at the time of birth of newborns in Hetaunda will be removed.

The sub-metropolitan city has allocated a budget of 2 billion 90 million 3 lakh 10 thousand rupees for the coming year. Which is about 7 crore rupees more than the current financial year . Deputy Chief Rajesh Baniyan presented the budget in the Municipal Assembly. In terms of the resources to cover the expenses of the budget, the grant received from the federal government is 1.195 million rupees, 627.6 million 80 thousand rupees from internal sources, 927.0 million 55 thousand rupees from the revenue distribution, 11.45 million 75 thousand rupees received from various subsidies from the state government and the loan from the Urban Development Fund is estimated at 36 million rupees .

Sub-metropolis has allocated 62 crore 39 lakh 41 thousand rupees for city-level infrastructure development, 32 crore 25 lakh 62 thousand rupees for ward-level plans and programs. 4 crore 69 lakh 7 thousand rupees towards economic development,  Deputy Chief Baniyan informed that Rs 5 crore 51 lakh have been allocated for education, Rs 2 crore 78 lakh for health, and Rs 2 crore 55 lakh for youth and sports development.

65 million 20 thousand rupees have been allocated for forest, environment and disaster management and 635 million 54 million 90 thousand rupees for institutional development.
