Houses have been handed over to 15 poor families of Panchkhaal Municipality of Kavre. On the occasion of a program on Sunday, the house was handed over after construction for 15 homeless poor families of the municipality.

3 houses in Ward No. 6, 3 houses in Ward No. 10 and 9 houses in Ward No. 12 of Panchkhaal have been completed and handed over to homeless families. program, Dinesh Kumar Bhatt, Head of National Disaster Risk Management and Mitigation, said that the work done in Panchkhaal in the field of reconstruction is very commendable. According to him, while reconstruction works are being carried out after the disaster, in Panchkhaal, safe housing has been completed and handed over to the poor families affected by the earthquake and flood. Linking the context of

disaster, he said that there was a huge damage due to flood/slide in Kavre last year and it made people aware of disaster preparedness and conditions. According to him, the community must first be prepared for disaster response. He said that since it is the people of the community who protect the community, it is necessary for citizens to be aware and alert about this. In the

program, District Disaster Management Committee Coordinator and Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal said that Panchkhal Municipality has done an important job in the reconstruction work by completing the construction of safe housing for the underprivileged. According to him, preparations are being made to minimize the risk of disasters this year. He said that relief and rescue operations have been given special priority.

Similarly, the national director of Habitat for Humanity Nepal, Eliza Sattala, said that with the cooperation and support of the local government, the partner agency Shanti Janardash Seva Kendra and Habitat for Humanity Nepal, the construction of safe housing has been completed here . Apart from this, she also informed that there is public donation for the work. According to him, the construction of 15 houses has been completed at a cost of 10 lakh rupees per house.

According to Shanti Jan Adarsh ​​Seva Kendra, Shankha Buddha Lama, under the Safe Housing Project, 19 housing construction works have been started in Panchkhal, currently 15 have been completed and handed over and construction work is ongoing in 4. He informed that the service center has completed 700 construction works in various locations with the support and partnership of various organizations.

The poor homeless family expressed their gratitude to the organization that provided safe construction. They said that they got a new house with the help and support of the local government and association.
