Bagmati Province Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama has assured that if any important plan is missing in the budget, it will be included on the basis of need and priority.
Addressing the sixth state-level Junior and Youth Red Cross Camp of Nepal Red Cross Society Bagmati Province held on Saturday at Kathmandu University in Dhulikhel, Kavre, he said that many demands and plans for the financial year 2082/83 could not be addressed in the budget.
"This year, there are about 19,000 plans in the province, an attempt was made to reduce them to 12,000, but it was not possible," he said, "The demands are unlimited, all the demands cannot be addressed, some important demands may be missed, some important plans under the title of disaster management may also be missed, they will be included based on needs and priorities."
He said that it will be easy to implement the plan only if the master plan is prepared after a complete study on where and how to allocate the budget.
He said that the state government has given priority to the issue of disaster management by focusing development and programs in the coming year. Appreciating the contribution made by Junior Nepal Red Cross Society in rescue and relief during the flood/landslide that occurred in the second week of October last year, he said that this work is a great achievement of the provincial government.
