The Hetaunda Sub-Metropolitan City has demanded that those who attacked Sabin Neupane, the Ward President of Hetounda Sub-Metropolitan City-1, be arrested and take legal action.

In the press release issued by the Deputy Metropolitan Municipality on Wednesday afternoon, while the Ward Chairman was working in his office, unknown persons came and attacked him with the intention of killing himself, and demanded that the persons involved in the attack be immediately arrested and legal action be taken . Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-1 Ward president and sub-metropolitan spokesperson Neupane was fatally attacked by an unknown group on Wednesday afternoon. 

A group of four people wearing black clothes and riding a motorcycle attacked him in his office. They hit Chairman Neupane on the head with materials in the office and also smashed his cellphone. His head was also injured.

In the executive meeting of the sub-metropolitan city, the sub-metropolitan city said that the chairman Neupane was attacked while he was doing his job in compliance with the Local Level Operation Act 2074, the National Civil Code 2074, which states that the responsibility for public land protection lies with the local level. 

A few days ago, Hetaunda-1 Swargalok Hetaunda Hospital on the public land behind the sub-metropolitan and ward took steps to protect it by removing those who wanted to build a terrace.

President Neupane informed that they ran away after shouting during the response to those who came for the attack. Chairman Neupane said that during the incident, two mobile phones used by Chairman Neupane were stolen by the attackers. The police said that they are looking for the attackers.
