On Saturday, a Beilibridge was connected to Larcha on the Bahrbise-Tatopani (26 km) road section connecting Tatopani, the northern border of the district. Since the floods in October last year swept away the Larcha Belibridge, the dangerous road was operated by placing a hump pipe in the Votekosi river.
According to the Charikot road division office, a 54-meter long belay bridge was installed at a budget of 17 million within one and a half months of the contract period.
'Sowarna Nirman Seva and Creative Construction and Suppliers have prepared the belay bridge, it is almost finished and connected, now the belay bridge will be operational in a week,' said engineer Suraj Maharjan, information officer of the Charikot road division office.
Charikot Road Division Office has stated that the goal is to hand over the finishing work to the Road Division at the end of May. He said that the Belybridge was installed in the third week of May starting from 15th of Chait.
The only road in Bhotekosi Rural Municipality Ward No. 2, 3 and 4 has been built on the Fulpingside of the motorable bridge damaged by the landslide by removing the debris. Arjun Thapa, the head of Sowarna Construction Services, has informed that they have been working day and night to complete the work of Beilibridge before the rainy season. "We have succeeded in connecting the Beili Bridge on time, the risk of floods and landslides was the same on the border connecting China," he said.
