Belay bridge being put up over Kulekhani Simkhola bridge

Beilibridge will be placed on the damaged bridge in the Simkhola under the dam of the Kulekhani hydropower project, which was damaged by the floods and landslides that occurred on October 11th and 12th.

The right and left side of the bridge, i.e. the access road, has been washed away, so the Beilibridge is going to be built. Navin Singh, Head of Transport Infrastructure Directorate, Hetaunda, said that the 2 belay bridges on the Bhasai-Bhimfedi road section are being pulled here. The 13-meter long belay bridge in Ghatekhola of the said road section has been removed, while the belay bridge in Mandukhola is also being removed.

He said that because a 60-meter long belay bridge had to be put in the Simkhola, 2 belay bridges had to be removed. Ghattekhola belibridge is 13 meters long and Mandukhola is 50 meters long.

Aman Maskey, Minister of Physical Infrastructure of Baghti province, said that they are working with the goal of making the vehicular movement possible by installing the belay bridge by June 15. Gaurav & nbsp; Engineers Pvt Ltd has got a contract worth 18.8 million to keep the belay bridge, build a paved access road and construct the damaged road around the bridge.

After Kulekhani was filled with heavy rains, when the gate was opened to stop the 'overflow', the road along with the Simkhola bridge in the lower part of Kulekhani Dam located in Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-2 was damaged. Now the traffic has been diverted from the river.
