Hetaunda sub-metropolitan municipality, Hetaunda water supply management board and federal government water supply and sewerage management project will be constructed in Hetaunda costing 20.5 million water supply scheme.
The Simaltar-Ratomate Sahalgani drinking water scheme is going to be implemented targeting the 9th, 11th, 14th and 15th wards of the sub-metropolitan city. A contract for the construction work was signed between the sub-metropolis, Hetaunda Water Management Board, the Federal Water and Sewerage Management Project and the builders on Friday.
Although a DPR worth 820 million rupees was prepared by the federal government in 2079, resources for the project were not guaranteed by the Nepal government in the past. In the current year 2081/082, resources equal to 250 million rupees have been secured.
The agreement in the sub-metropolitan office was signed by city chief Meenakumari Lama, head of federal water supply and sewage management project Purnaprasad Upadhyay, Hetaunda water supply board and construction side Jaymata Supreme JV's Krishnahari Chaulagai. According to the agreement, the sub-city and water management board will have 30 percent investment and the federal government will have 70 percent investment.
A water tank of 600,000 liters will be constructed in Hetaunda-9 Bedkholsi, 200,000 liters in Hetaunda-15 Pispark and 200,000 liters in Hetaunda-14 Uttarpani with an investment of 2056 million.
